Project overview
The work behind the measurable outcome.
The challenge
What needed to change.
The Moving Masters began the reporting period with a limited measurable search and analytics baseline. The website needed broader service coverage, clearer local relevance, dependable performance tracking and a stronger path from search visibility to qualified enquiries.
The work also needed to separate genuine business progress from vanity metrics. Because several baseline values were zero or unavailable, the campaign established trustworthy current figures rather than presenting misleading percentage growth.
The strategy
A focused direction built around evidence.
Markezo combined service-page expansion, on-page SEO, local authority work, Google Business Profile improvements, technical review and behaviour analysis. Priority decisions were based on the customer journey and on pages already beginning to earn Google impressions.
The roadmap connected content, metadata, internal links, structured data, images, local listings and analytics so each activity supported the same commercial goal: more qualified moving enquiries in Auckland.
Implementation
How the plan was put into action.
Nineteen service pages were created or improved, supported by approximately 45 visuals. Metadata, headings, image alternative text, internal links, FAQs, reviews and structured information were strengthened. The Google Business Profile was updated, 15 business profiles/listings were created and one guest post was completed.
Google Analytics, Search Console and Microsoft Clarity were then used together to establish traffic, search and behaviour baselines and identify the next technical and conversion priorities.
The solution
A connected system for sustainable progress.
The final system gave The Moving Masters a broader, locally relevant service architecture and a measurable reporting framework. High-impression service pages could now be prioritised, user-friction signals could be reviewed and the team had a clear list of conversion-tracking and Core Web Vitals actions.
The results
What the first phase established.
During the latest available period, Google Analytics recorded 253 sessions, 179 active users and 56 Google-organic sessions. Search Console recorded 18 clicks and 1,974 impressions. Microsoft Clarity recorded 236 sessions, 176 unique users and stronger active engagement.
The results were treated as an early foundation rather than a finished outcome. Rankings, click-through rate, conversion tracking and real-user performance remained the key opportunities for the next phase.

The starting point
The Moving Masters entered July 2026 with a limited measurable search and analytics baseline. The campaign objective was to improve local SEO visibility, strengthen service pages and increase qualified website traffic from Google. The available early screenshots showed no recorded Google Analytics activity and zero total web-search clicks. Rather than presenting an exaggerated growth percentage from a zero baseline, the project treated July as a foundation-building month and established trustworthy current figures for future comparison.
The work also needed to address the difference between visibility and business value. Search engines needed clearer information about the services, customers needed more useful pages and the team needed reliable tracking across Google Analytics, Google Search Console and Microsoft Clarity. The project therefore combined content, on-page SEO, local presence, technical work and user-experience review instead of treating SEO as a single ranking task.
A broader service and content foundation
Nineteen new service pages were added to expand the website’s coverage of the ways customers search for moving support in Auckland. The work included commercial movers, residential movers, furniture movers, man with a van, office movers, house movers, apartment movers, packing and unpacking services, loading and unloading, moving-truck transportation, single-item moves, heavy furniture, appliance moves, piano moves, retail and shop moves, warehouse moves, storage-unit moves and long-distance moves.
Each priority page received improved copy, clearer sections, keyword direction and visual support. Approximately 45 new website images were added during the reporting period. Metadata, headings, image alternative text, internal links and custom structured information were improved where appropriate. The homepage also gained a customer reviews section, and the FAQ area was upgraded to answer common questions more clearly.
The purpose of this expansion was not simply to increase the page count. Each page was intended to serve a distinct customer need. Office and warehouse moves, for example, involve different planning concerns from household or single-item moves. Clearer service separation gives customers a more relevant destination and gives search engines more specific information to understand over time.
Local presence and authority work
The Google Business Profile was updated with improved service details and images so that local customers could understand the offer more easily. The website content was aligned with Auckland service intent, including broad moving-company searches and more specific commercial, residential, furniture and specialist requirements.
Fifteen business profiles and listings were created to strengthen online presence and local credibility. One guest post was also completed as an additional external mention. The initial backlink audit had shown no measurable backlink or referring-domain strength, so this work established an early authority-building foundation. The report recommended continuing with relevant citations, local relationships and carefully selected external contributions rather than relying on low-quality volume.
Search visibility established
Google Search Console recorded 18 clicks and 1,974 impressions during the latest available 28-day period. The click-through rate was 0.91% and the average position was 42.1. These numbers show that the site had begun appearing for branded and service-related searches, while also making it clear that ranking development was still at an early stage.
Branded searches such as “moving masters” and related variations produced clicks at strong positions. Service terms were beginning to generate impressions but often remained too low in the results to earn clicks. The commercial movers page received 689 impressions with no clicks and an average position of 51.17. The office movers page recorded 249 impressions with no clicks and an average position of 66.69. The warehouse moves page recorded 128 impressions and one click. These pages became clear priorities for stronger content, internal links, snippets, trust signals and continued authority work.
Measurable traffic and engagement
Google Analytics recorded 253 sessions, 179 active users and 180 new users in the latest 28-day report. Google organic search contributed 56 sessions, representing approximately 22.1% of all sessions. Average engagement time reached one minute and 39 seconds per active user. The website was therefore no longer operating without a measurable traffic baseline; it was receiving visits from search, direct and social sources and giving the team a clearer view of user activity.
Traffic acquisition remained mixed. Facebook lead traffic was the largest recorded source with 82 sessions, direct traffic contributed 64 sessions and Google organic search contributed 56 sessions. Instagram and additional Facebook campaign variations also generated visits. This mix helped place SEO performance in context: organic search was becoming a meaningful source, but the complete customer journey involved several channels.
Behaviour signals from Microsoft Clarity
Microsoft Clarity showed a substantial increase in recorded use. Sessions rose from 6 to 236 and unique users rose from 6 to 176. Pages per session improved from 1.67 to 2.01, average scroll depth increased from 44% to 46.5% and active time increased from 22 seconds to approximately one and a half minutes. Clarity also detected 16 request-quote events, 16 submit-form events and 7 contact interactions.
The behaviour data also identified opportunities. Dead clicks affected 10.59% of sessions, suggesting that some elements looked interactive without responding as expected. Quick backs appeared in 6.36% of sessions, indicating that some landing experiences or messages deserved review. Rage clicks remained at zero and excessive scrolling was very low, so the immediate focus was not simply reducing page length. The more useful priorities were interaction clarity, landing-page relevance and conversion tracking.
Technical and tracking priorities
The baseline audit showed a strong crawl foundation with no critical SEMrush errors and a reported site-health score of 93%. However, current real-user performance signals in Clarity required attention. The dashboard showed a performance score of 45 out of 100, a very high Largest Contentful Paint figure, Interaction to Next Paint of 380 milliseconds and Cumulative Layout Shift of 1.1. JavaScript errors were also recorded in a small share of sessions.
These tools measure performance in different ways, so the findings were not treated as a contradiction. The initial desktop audit suggested that the site could load quickly under a controlled test, while Clarity indicated that some real users experienced slow or unstable pages. The recommended work included optimising hero and large images, reviewing scripts and third-party tools, stabilising dimensions for images, fonts and dynamic elements, and fixing JavaScript errors that could affect functionality.
Conversion measurement was another important limitation. Google Analytics key events were not reporting leads, even though Clarity detected quote and form interactions. The next phase therefore needed a tracking review covering forms, calls, quote requests and confirmation states. Without that work, the client could see traffic growth but could not yet connect every important action with a verified lead in GA4.
What the first month achieved
July established a much stronger SEO and website foundation for The Moving Masters. The business gained broader service coverage, more useful customer-facing content, improved visuals, clearer metadata, local profile improvements and the first measurable search and traffic baseline. The site began earning clicks from Google and appearing for a wider range of service searches. User behaviour also showed longer active time, slightly deeper scrolling and more recorded quote and form activity.
The project did not present these early gains as finished SEO success. Average rankings remained low for many important service terms, click-through rate had room to improve, backlink authority was still limited and tracking needed correction. These limitations were included in the report so that the next decisions could be based on evidence rather than optimistic assumptions.
The next growth priorities
The recommended next month focused on turning visibility into more clicks and enquiries. The first priority was to repair conversion tracking so that quote requests, forms and calls could be measured reliably. The second was to optimise high-impression pages, particularly commercial movers, office movers and other services that Google was already testing in search results.
Technical work on Largest Contentful Paint, interaction delay, layout shift and JavaScript errors was also ranked highly because user experience can influence both engagement and conversion. Internal links and calls-to-action needed further strengthening, local authority work was expected to continue and Google Business Profile performance metrics were to be added when available. Clarity recordings and heatmaps would support a more detailed review of dead clicks, hesitation and quick returns.
The main lesson from the engagement is that foundation work becomes more valuable when it creates a clear next step. New pages created search coverage. Analytics established a baseline. Behaviour data identified friction. The next phase can now concentrate on the pages and technical issues most likely to convert growing visibility into qualified enquiries.
